We have begun talking about Grit.  Grit is when individuals demonstrate passion and perseverance toward a goal despite being confronted by significant obstacles and distractions.  Students can reverse their thinking so they are able to reach their goals through hard work and a positive mindset.  My older daughters came to school and made a video of the kids while trying to tie in Grit and reversing a negative mindset.  I figured the kids would like to watch it again.  I think they had fun making it.  🙂

Volunteers
I am so grateful for each of you! I have changed Math centers to Monday, Wednesday and Thursday because of Math focus groups. I am still looking for more volunteers. If you are able to help with Math centers on Monday, Wednesday or Thursday afternoon for 1 hour, that would be great. Even if it’s just once a month.

Harvest Party

Just a heads up…We will have our Harvest Party on Wednesday, October 31st from 2:30-3:30.  I will be sending out a Sign Up Genius in the next few days.
